| Cinematic Storytelling for the Actor with Welker White and Damian Young NYC October 26th to 30th, 2024 | 5 Days | In Berlin – Various original filmed exercises are used to train actors, focusing on improving their ability to work in the moment and communicate truthfully through their behaviour. By watching their own work alongside specific film clips, actors incorporate an understanding of how meaning is attributed in visual narratives. As we advance, actors transition to filming fully “covered” dialogue scenes that include various camera shots and angles, selected from different scenes. Throughout the week, the primary aim is to equip actors with a comprehensive understanding of the language of cinematic stories, emphasising the actor’s ability to effectively convey the narrative through both internal and external expressions.
